Police Recruits

Testing for police recruits will be held during the following months:

January
March
May
July
September
November

Prospective recruits will be contacted with the exact testing date and invited to attend.

Physical Agilities TestThe physical agility test is the same regardless of whether you are a lateral, entry-level, or academy-trained candidate. 

  • The Physical Agility exam consists of the following (not necessarily in this order):
    • Push-ups
    • Sit-ups
    • Dummy Drag
    • 440 Yard Run
    • 99-Yard Obstacle Course

POLICE OFFICER (Experienced/Lateral)We are seeking qualified, experienced police officers. This recruitment is continuous. Applicants will be notified of upcoming testing dates. Police Lateral

Upon submitting their application, police laterals will be contacted by the recruitment team and scheduled for a testing date at the APPLICANT'S CONVENIENCE.

COMMUNICATIONS 911 DISPATCHERS (Experienced/Lateral)We seek qualified, experienced Communications Operators/911 Dispatchers. This recruitment is open and continuous. Applicants with a POST Public Safety Dispatcher Certificate and experience as a public safety dispatcher in a California law enforcement agency are highly encouraged to apply.

POLICE CADETIf you're aged 18 to 25, passionate about law enforcement, and currently a full-time high school or college student, our part-time Cadet Program could be the perfect fit for you. Tailored for aspiring law enforcement professionals, this program is crafted to hone your skills and capabilities. With work hours flexible to accommodate your class schedule, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience while pursuing your education.
