LOCAL COUNSELING & TRAINING
Orange County Small Business Development Center (SBDC) -- The SBDC uses a variety of resources to counsel and train small business owners and managers in financial, marketing, production, organizational, engineering, technical and other management topics. Assistance is available to help develop feasibility studies, business plans, cash flow analysis and financial statements. Both one-on-one and group counseling sessions are offered at no cost to the small business. Seminars and special training are available for a nominal fee.

U.S. Small Business Administration
-- The U.S. Small Business Administration has a multitude of business resources available (800.827.5722). The SBA sponsor the Small Business Development Centers and the Senior Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) programs accross the nation. Two valuable links to the SBA are:
Small Business Development Center at Rancho Santiago College -- The Orange County Small Business Development Center (OCSBDC), an economic development program of the district, offers no cost business consulting services and low cost training seminars to small business owners and future entrepreneurs throughout Orange County. The SBDC is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the California Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency and the California Community College Chancellor's Office and is hosted locally by Rancho Santiago Community College District.
Orange County Business Council -- The OCBC provides proactive advocacy for regional economic development throughout the county. The OCBC is an active partner of the Film Commission and Tourism Council.

California Manufacturing Technology Center -- The California Manufacturing Technology Center (CMTC) was established in 1992 to help promote the competitiveness of the state's smaller manufacturers (those with less than 500 employees). A nonprofit organization, CMTC provides manufacturing companies with business and technical consultants who provide service products in the areas of:

Regional Occupational Program (ROP) at Coastline Community College -- Coastline Regional Occupational Program, one or four ROP's in the Orange County and one of seventy-two in the State of California, plays an important role in training people to enter the world of work.
- Education, business, and industry leaders work together through various advisory committees to assure meaningful internships, a verified labor market demand, and a high potential for student placement. Through a continuing partnership with local business and industry, career preparation programs are developed based on current job market demands.

This service cuts participation cost and allows the small exporter to be part of exclusive California displays. A list of trade show activities is available upon request.
