The City of Huntington requests your comments and feedback on their Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). The purpose of the plan is to allow the City to pursue grant funding opportunities with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that assist with hazards reduction. A requirement for these grant opportunities is for a City to development a plan that identifies the potential risks associated with their natural hazards.
This plan was developed by the City of Huntington Beach in accordance with FEMA requirements and guidance and identifies the areas of the City susceptible to different natural hazards and the facilities at risk to these hazards.
The City is now seeking input from residents and interested stakeholders during the LHMP's public review period March 1 to March 20. If you have any comments, please submit them to Brevyn Metter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
