Huntington Beach Senior Services provides a broad spectrum of programming and direct services to the aging population of Huntington Beach.  From active aging programs at Rodgers Seniors Center to assistance with maintaining independence with dignity at Seniors Outreach, Senior Services makes Huntington Beach a great place to age.

A Recreation Center for Active Adults

The Michael E. Rodgers Seniors Center is a focal point for an array of programs and services important to the quality of life for the seniors in our community.  The center is a multi-purpose facility and offers opportunities for community involvement and companionship with a wide range of social, recreational, and educational programs promoting wellness.  In addition, Community Senior Serv provides a hot lunch Monday – Friday at 11:30 am with a recommended donation of $2.50 for those over 60 and a cost of $3.50 for those under 60.

Facilitating Independent Living and developing a plan for facing late-life transitions

The Seniors Outreach Center provides services that assist elders in the city with their physical, emotional and nutritional needs through professionally trained staff and volunteers.  The Outreach Center, adjacent to the Seniors Center, focuses on programs and services for frail or homebound seniors to promote safety, self-sufficiency and independence.

Programs

Care Management works with seniors, families, and caregivers to provide support services, education about senior services, emotional support during times of need and individualized care plan development.

Meals to the Home provides three meals per day to qualified seniors.
Transportation “Seniors on the Go” provides door-to-door service to medical appointments, shopping centers, Rodgers Seniors Center and any other reason within Huntington Beach.  Escorts are available for those needing extra assistance.
