The Huntington Beach City Municipal Code authorizes the Chief of Police to issue no-cost Recreational Vehicle parking permits providing the permits are obtained by a resident prior to the date and time the vehicle is parked. Recreational Vehicles are defined as: Recreational Vehicles over twenty (20) feet in length, boat trailers or personal watercraft trailers.
Parking permits are only valid on public streets or highways in a residential district. Permit holders are required to temporarily move their permitted vehicles on scheduled street sweeping dates and comply with the street sweeping ordinance. In addition, it is unlawful to sleep in a vehicle between the hours of 9 pm and 9 am (HBMC 9.54.010).
If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Huntington Beach Police Department/Traffic Bureau at 714 536-5663 Monday through Friday or refer to HBMC 10.44.062.
