A few of the pictures have been selected from the HBPD traffic archives. They are displayed for educational purposes. Many people don't wear seatbelts, speed, drive under the influence or flee the police thinking that the only consequence is a ticket or some time in jail. Pictured below are some of the other consequences. For obvious reasons, we can not show all the photographs but we feel the few displayed below are enough to get the point across.
| In 1984, a drunk driver collided with Officer Armando. The driver was arrested and spent a few weeks in jail. Officer Armando spent a few weeks in the intensive care ward. |
| A drunk driver traveling at upwards of 80 mph rear ended this vehicle killing a 45 year old female driver (wearing the blue sweater). Even wearing a seat belt could not help the victim from this fatal collision. |

Two gang members who did a drive by shooting in Fountain Valley were fleeing the Fountain Valley police department in a chase at over 100 mph west through the intersection of Beach and Warner. Shots were fired when the vehicle lost control and struck a tree splitting the car into two pieces. Both suspects were killed. |
