Financial Assistant

Business financing includes both private and public resources for loans.

YOUR LOCAL LENDER
Your financing solution may be a Small Business Administration (SBA) loan made available through your local bank. The local bank's SBA Loan Officer will expect you to have a business plan. For assistance with your business plan, call the Huntington Beach Small Business Assistance Center at (714) 536-8888, or the Orange County Small Business Development Center at (714) 647-1172, or SCORE at (714) 836-2709. These services are free of charge in most cases.

U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SBA)
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers a variety of loan programs to eligible small business who cannot borrow on reasonable terms from conventional lenders in the amount needed without government help. Most of the SBA's business loans are made by private lenders (check with your local bank), and then guaranteed by the SBA.

SBA 504 DEBENTURE LOAN PROGRAM
The SBA 504 Debenture Loan Program allows the business owner to purchase or construct an industrial or commercial building while preserving working capital. Financing is below market interest rates with only a 10 percent down payment or equity injection. The loan proceeds may be used to purchase or remodel an existing building or to construct a new facility. Contact the SBA or other listed non-profits for further information on their financial programs.
